On December 2nd and 3rd, 2024, Bogotá witnessed a pivotal event in the development of space science and technology in Colombia: the 1st China-Latin America Academic Cooperation Forum on Space Science and the 5th Colombia Espacial. Held at the prestigious headquarters of the Colombian Society of Engineers, this event, which drew 135 participants, including academics, researchers, students, and representatives from internationally renowned institutions, provided a forum for speakers and guests to discuss the challenges and opportunities of international cooperation in space science.
