NOIRLab Website

Enciso Systems developed NOIRLab’s website, delivering scalable content management for astronomy images, data, and public outreach.
The NOIRLab Website is the official digital platform of the National Optical-Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory (NOIRLab), the U.S. center for ground-based night-time astronomy operated by the National Science Foundation.
Built to serve scientists, educators, and the public, the site delivers real-time astronomical discoveries, high-resolution imagery, and educational resources from world-class observatories such as Gemini Observatory, Vera C. Rubin Observatory, Kitt Peak National Observatory, and Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory.
Enciso Systems contributed to the development of a high-performance, multilingual content management system that handles:
- Massive astronomical datasets, including FITS images and HD video archives.
- Interactive visualizations of telescopes, sky surveys, and live events.
- Scalable cloud infrastructure to support global audiences and high traffic during major discoveries.
- Accessibility compliance to meet WCAG standards and ensure an inclusive user experience.
The NOIRLab Website empowers scientists to share their research, teachers to inspire students, and space enthusiasts to explore the universe through cutting-edge web technology and a seamless, user-focused design.
