Enciso Systems Launches "BITS & ESTRELLAS" to Celebrate Founder’s 20-Year Career Journey

A Celebration of Passion, Perseverance, and the Power of Education

Enciso Systems marked a significant milestone with the launch of "BITS & ESTRELLAS", a book authored by company founder Javier Enciso, commemorating his 20th graduation anniversary as a computer scientist and his journey from Villavicencio to the stars. The event featured a special appearance by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in the frame of its 100th anniversary, and drew an enthusiastic response from the Villavicencio community.

On April 10, Enciso Systems hosted an inspiring book launch event in Villavicencio [1], Colombia, celebrating the release of "BITS & ESTRELLAS", a deeply personal memoir by founder and President Javier Enciso. The book narrates his path from humble beginnings in Meta to contributing to world-class scientific institutions. The occasion marked the 20th anniversary of Enciso's graduation as a computer scientist, making it a poignant reflection on two decades of innovation, resilience, and impact.

As part of the DAAD’s global centennial celebrations [2], the organization participated in the event, recognizing the transformative role of international education in Javier Enciso’s life. Enciso is an alumnus of a DAAD-sponsored program in Germany, an experience that helped shape his professional trajectory and global outlook. Their involvement underscored the long-standing collaboration between Colombian professionals and German academia.

The Villavicencio community turned out in force for the launch, with students, educators, local leaders, and families filling the event venue to capacity. The turnout reflected the local pride in Enciso’s accomplishments [3] and the growing interest in stories that connect regional talent with global achievement. The event was also streamed online, reaching an even broader audience and inspiring future generations.

Felipe Bogotá, the editor of the book, shared his thoughts on the project: “Editing BITS & ESTRELLAS was a journey in itself—one that revealed the rare combination of technical capability and human warmth that defines Javier Enciso’s story.” His insights highlighted the thoughtful craftsmanship that went into curating the memoir’s unique blend of personal narrative and professional milestones.

Ing. Elvis Pérez, Director of the School of Engineering at the Universidad de los Llanos [4], also offered remarks: “This book is a powerful testament to what a public university education can ignite when it meets passion and purpose. It is a mirror in which many of our students will see their own potential.” His words reinforced the inspirational value of Enciso’s journey for young professionals across Colombia.

"BITS & ESTRELLAS" is now available to readers who want to dive deeper into the extraordinary journey of a Colombian computer scientist who turned dreams into global achievements. With an inspiring blend of personal reflection, professional milestones, and cultural insight, the book invites readers to explore the intersection of technology, perseverance, and purpose. Whether you're a student, educator, entrepreneur, or simply passionate about stories that uplift, this memoir offers a meaningful and motivating read.
