Enciso Systems, in a strategic alliance with Integra HSE, successfully executed the "HSE & Cyber Resilience Summit 2026" on the evening of January 21. This high-level virtual event convened industry professionals, government representatives, and technology leaders to explore the urgent necessity of integrating Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols with robust cybersecurity frameworks. Under the theme "Protecting People, Assets, and Profitability," the summit highlighted how the digitization of industrial sectors requires a unified approach to risk management [1].

The summit featured a robust agenda led by distinguished speakers from global organizations, including Intact (Canada), Microsoft Americas (Colombia), and ADNOC Group (UAE). The discussions centered on the evolving threat landscape where digital vulnerabilities can manifest as physical hazards in critical infrastructure.

Alejandro Roa, Cybersecurity Compliance Advisor Senior at Intact, opened the technical sessions by delineating the direct correlation between cyber threats and operational safety in high-risk environments.

"The boundary between the digital and physical worlds has dissolved in modern industry. We must understand that in the HSE environment, a cyber vulnerability is not merely a data leak; it is a potential safety hazard that can endanger lives and catastrophic asset failure," stated Alejandro Roa, emphasizing the need for a shift in compliance culture.

Following the analysis of threats, the conversation shifted toward technological solutions. Walter Novoa, Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect at Microsoft Americas, presented on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in predictive safety. His session demonstrated how modern cloud architectures can process vast amounts of telemetry data to identify potential accidents and cyber intrusions simultaneously.

"Artificial Intelligence is moving us from reactive methodologies to a state of predictive resilience. By leveraging AI to analyze patterns across both IT and operational technology, organizations can anticipate and neutralize incidents before they impact worker safety or operational continuity," remarked Walter Novoa during his presentation on cloud solutions.

The event concluded with a presentation by Wilmer Baquero from ADNOC Group, who addressed the human element of security in oil fields, stressing that technology must be supported by a strong organizational culture.

"It is insufficient to have the most advanced firewalls if the personnel on the rig do not perceive digital risks as physical threats. True resilience in the oil and gas sector relies on building a unified culture where every worker understands that a cybersecurity breach can have immediate, kinetic consequences on our operations," stated Wilmer Baquero, underscoring the vital link between leadership and safety compliance.

The summit was supported by key regional entities [2] and reinforces Enciso Systems' commitment to leading the conversation on industrial modernization and digital safety.
