Construction of a roadmap for corporate governance of information and technology in a multi-agency commercial distributor

Abstract

This thesis describes the process undertaken for the internship within the company COSECHAR S.A.S. at its Villavicencio branch, with the objective of creating a roadmap for corporate governance and, in turn, supporting the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system within the organization.

The roadmap is developed based on the prioritized objective obtained in the company's evaluation within a framework. Furthermore, it demonstrates the process that an organization undertakes when automating its processes through an ERP system and the difficulties that could arise during this process. Three prioritized objectives were obtained, from which the objective called Managed Operations was selected, as it had the highest score in the importance range given by the framework. Furthermore, this objective seeks to relate the IT area to the organization's processes, demonstrating a correspondence between this objective and the ERP system implementation process within the organization.

This process is carried out over a four-month period under a fixed-term contract internship, fulfilling work hours except for certain hours corresponding to class time at the University.
